Delivery of Containers & Portable Buildings
Over the past 16 years, Royal Wolf have developed strong contacts within the transport industry to ensure the safe & timely delivery of your container.
For standard products that are readily available, Royal Wolf can usually arrange delivery within 24 hours. Products that require modifications & accessories will require more time. Product availability & modification timelines can be discussed with your Royal Wolf representative prior to placing your order.
There are several issues that will need consideration prior to the delivery of your Royal Wolf product.
Direction of the Container Doors
You will need to advise which direction the container should be loaded onto the truck. This will affect the direction that the container or portable buildings will face once unloaded from the truck.
Surface of the Site
In order to ensure the correct operation of your container or portable building (including the efficient opening & closing of doors), it is best to ensure that your container sits on a level surface. The containers are often best kept by being placed on sleepers or concrete pads. Your Royal Wolf representative can assist you in determining the best solution for your needs.
Safety is the Number One Priority
To ensure a safe & efficient delivery, it is important to advise Royal Wolf of any obstructions that may impede the process including overhead wires & overhanging branches.
When organising the delivery of your Royal Wolf container or portable building, we will need to discuss which truck type is most appropriate for your site. Factors affecting the type of truck include where you require delivery, the accessibility of the site & the type of product you have ordered.
Tilt Tray Truck Delivery
The tilt tray truck is ideal for delivery to locations where damage to the flooring is of no concern. The container is loaded on the truck in the direction requested ensuring the unit will be in the correct position once delivered. The truck must reverse to the delivery point where the tray of the truck tilts to the ground & the container slides off the back.
6m Tilt Tray Clearance Requirements
Height – 4.8m (16')
Width – 3m (10')
Length – 12m (40')

Side Loader Truck Delivery
The side loader truck delivers the container by picking it up from the trucks tray at each end of the unit & lowering it onto the site directly next to the trucks' tray. This method is ideal for delivery of containers that need to fit into constricted spaces. It is important to consider which way the container should be loaded onto the truck as it can only be unloaded from the right hand (drivers') side.
6m Side Loader Clearance Requirements
Height – 4.5m (15')
Width – 6m (20')
Length – 10m (33')
12m Side Loader Clearance Requirements
Height – 4.5m (15')
Width – 6m (20')
Length – 16m (53')
Hiab Delivery
A hiab is a truck that has a crane attached to it. This delivery method is used to when neither a tilt tray or side loader truck can access the site. Hiab delivery allows for containers to be delivered over obstructions such as fences.
