The Role

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Leading Hand positions are responsible for leading the finishing and repair team in the timely and cost-effective repair, maintenance, and modification of Royal Wolf containers in order to deliver ‘First Choice’ containerised product solutions to our valuable customers.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Fit out / fabricate and modify shipping containers and associated products.
Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
Solid understanding of QA procedures.
Use hand tools and other machinery to fit out shipping containers.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Participate in safety and production meetings as required.
Guide and mentor apprentice boilermakers.
Adhere to safety KPI’s.
Lead by example.

About You

Certificate III or IV in Carpentry / Cabinet Maker / Engineering (preferable).
Forklift licence (preferable).
Mark off/out structural fabrications and components.
Strong attention to detail.
Positive attitude towards safety.
A can-do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile.
