Meet Your Wolf Pack - Bob Fuller

Bob Fuller, our National Account Manager based in Queensland, is one of the newest additions to the team. Bob’s background is varied and spans major projects, government, and sales specialist training.

“I worked in a range of industries prior to joining Royal Wolf, including building hire and major projects. One of the most enjoyable parts of these roles was managing complex tasks and collaborating with a range of different stakeholders. I also owned part of an engineering business in the past. While there, my team and I designed, developed, manufactured and patented a safety device that reduced the consequence of an Arc Flash event by significantly limiting the incident energy available. Having an engineering background definitely attracted me to the role at Royal Wolf,” says Bob.

Bob’s in the business of growing and developing strong stakeholder relationships, so it’s no surprise he’s built a wide network of key accounts’ contacts.

“I’ve always made an effort to keep in touch with people I’ve worked with, so when I saw the job come up at Royal Wolf through my network I went ahead and applied. I don’t just do it for business purposes; I also do it because I’ve met some great people throughout my career. I’ve actually worked with my current manager, Viv Kennelly, in the past, and I like the way he does business. It’s nice to be part of his team again,” says Bob.

Bob works with our customers from a big picture perspective, helping them understand Royal Wolf’s capabilities — both in terms of the innovative solutions we offer and how we can help their business strategically.

“My job is basically about building relationships and understanding my customer’s strategy. It’s about really getting to know their business, and providing them with the solutions they need to run more effectively and efficiently. I also support our branches across the country,” he says.

When it comes to customers, Bob’s include our government portfolio and prime contractors interacting with government entities.

“I’m focused primarily on government. I work with dense networks that can best be described as a spiderweb of different stakeholders with different skill sets. My role is to connect with these people and help them understand the strategic solutions we can provide for their businesses.

Given the customer-focused nature of his role, Bob spends plenty of time working in the field across Australia.

“For the next five weeks, I’ll be out of the office three days a week. Whether I’m heading to the Northern Territory, South Australia or the ACT, I like to spend as much time as I can with my customers. I try to see as many stakeholders as I can and build relationships face to face,” he says.

When Bob’s not in the office, he can be found whipping up a storm in the kitchen.

“I love cooking (not baking, though). Generally, I make dishes with meat. I do lots of the cooking in my household. I also do my best to keep fit. I’ve set myself the goal of walking 4.5 million steps this year. I like to find interesting places to walk around the Sunshine Coast or in nature to beat the boredom. If I don’t walk enough during the week, I catch up on the weekend. I’m pretty goal oriented,” he says.
