ROYAL WOLF PROVIDES CONTAINER FOR INSTANT SECURITY

As an organisation focused on giving back wherever possible, Royal Wolf is delighted to expand its Cycling Without Age Australia sponsorship into the charity’s Brisbane chapter through the supply of a shipping container to ensure the safe storage of trishaw bikes.

Providing an important service to the aged care community, Cycling Without Age Australia provides free scenic bike rides to the elderly, those with disabilities and mobility impairments, to keep them active and connected to the community.

The 20-foot container will ensure the charity’s bikes are secure from theft and weather damage, while providing easy access to scenic bike paths.

“Containers are an excellent solution. We’ve been able to provide Cycling Without Age Australia with an instant home for their equipment and peace of mind that their bikes are safe and in a convenient location,” says Brendon Greatrex, Royal Wolf Regional Manager South Queensland.

NO PROGRAM WITHOUT ROYAL WOLF

The shipping container can store four “pretty heavy” 2 x 1 metre trishaw bikes, which are required to be kept in a convenient location for volunteers.

Royal Wolf delivered the container to Riverside Marine, where wide bike paths make it the ideal location for Cycling Without Age Australia, with stunning views of the city in one direction, and along the river towards Hamilton in the other direction.

“The program couldn’t run without Royal Wolf’s support,” says Ryan Foster, Cycling Without Age Australia’s Brisbane Volunteer Community Captain.

“The container is secure, waterproof, accessible and large enough to store four trishaws. Being able to store them right next to the bike paths means we can run the program more effectively.

“Royal Wolf worked with Riverside Marine to put it on-site in the best location for our needs. I didn’t have to do anything, it was all taken care of for me.”

ROYAL WOLF VALUES STAND OUT

The trishaws are essentially “a couch on wheels” powered by volunteers, with free rides available from December.

“I approached Royal Wolf mainly because they’ve been involved in a chapter in Western Australia, so I knew they were well aligned in terms of their community vision,” says Ryan Foster. “Thankfully they were able to come on board.”

Royal Wolf is proud to be involved.

“People like Ryan and organisations like Cycling Without Age are the backbone of communities and we enjoy being part of it and helping where we can,” says Brendon Greatrex.

“We try to sponsor and help community initiatives. Ryan’s organisation is there for a good cause and we definitely support that.”
