Why Site Hub is the ideal Solution for Remote Sites

Royal Wolf Site Hub

Royal Wolf’s revolutionary new Site Hub is an essential one-stop shop for a wide-range of industries, and civil engineering firm Bielby Holdings is reaping the rewards.

A self-sufficient container complete with unique features – including a stainless-steel kitchenette, hot water system, toilet, lunchroom and office area – the 40-foot Site Hub is a game changer for work sites.

With 40 years’ experience across civil infrastructure, mining, renewables and resource projects, Queensland-based and privately owned Bielby Holdings discovered over time the need for easy access to amenities for staff and, in particular, having it up and running as soon as a project begins.

Royal Wolf has supplied Bielby Holdings with containers and solutions for many years. It is through this long-standing relationship that Bielby Holdings was identified as a candidate to trial the Site Hub on a new project.

The project includes road works, with Bielby Holdings requiring mobile amenities and an office facility for staff on-site.

The Site Hub provides staff with an on-site lunchroom, kitchen facilities, storage, office space, toilet and more.

“Although we're in the start-up phase of the project, we've given the Site Hub a really good workout over the last couple of weeks, not only with our workers on site, but also our staff using it as a temporary site facility,” says Matthew Christensen, Bielby Holdings Project Manager.

“Some of our site facilities are in the start-up phase, so it's helped us to have an extra temporary facility available that our crews are able to utilise.”

Available for hire across Australia, the Site Hub can be delivered anywhere, at any time. It features its own water and power supply, including solar power, enabling it to be fully functional in locations, such as roadworks sites, where there is no access to power or water.

“It's a very easy set up. It's cost-effective and it allows you to establish quite easily on-site. You place it down and it's ready to go,” says Matthew.

“Some of the key features are its robustness, its mobility and also the added feature of having the solar panels, which keep the fridges running overnight.

“As part of the set up, or even the ongoing maintenance of a project, it's very important to have a facility that staff feel comfortable in, and from an office point of view, we need to make sure our staff and our key positions have a facility that they can go back to.

“I see Site Hub’s big benefits being in remote locations where you don't have those temporary facilities readily available and you're on constantly moving sites.”

Matthew says the installation of solar panels is Site Hub’s key innovation, particularly for use in remote locations.

“In remote areas where refueling can be quite difficult to achieve on a daily basis, the solar panels are a very innovative solution to what can be a problematic issue on-site,” he says.

“I would recommend Site Hub for other building and civil companies.”

Site Hub makes work sites more productive.

“It saves people going back to the main site office, which can take a long time if it's on a highway,” says Danny Nichol, Royal Wolf National Account Manager for Portable Buildings.

“It gives staff a facility where they can go to the toilet, they can go and have a cup of coffee, they can store some gear there. It just makes the site more efficient.”

The Site Hub is suitable for a diverse range of industries, including building and construction, mining, roadworks and events.

“It’s an extremely deployable piece of equipment,” says Brendon Greatrex, Royal Wolf National Modifications Manager. “Customers can call us to hire it and we can have it on a truck and on-site that afternoon. Within hours, it's up and running, ready to go.”

Royal Wolf Site Hubs are available for hire now, with potential delivery in metro areas on the same day.
